Can-Am Championships On May 27th, 2023 the CanAm Championships will be hosting the 2nd annual lion dance competition. Sifu Ken Low and the Can-Am Championships will host the 2nd annual lion dance competition. The Dragon and Lion Dance Association of BC will provide hosting support and judging for the event which is an officially sanctioned

In 2022 the Dragon and Lion Dance Association of BC hosted the first-ever Dragon and Lion Dance Virtual Competition, the North-West championship, in Canada. Canada was again invited to the 2022 Online Virtual competition hosted by the International Federation and Chinese Association. The Dragon and Lion Dance Association of BC was able to form a team of athletes to compete in the Southern Lion event.

During the pandemic, the Dragon Lion Cultural Sports Association of Canada was still able to send 3 teams of athletes to participate in a virtual competition hosted by the International Dragon & Lion Dance Association, Chinese Dragon & Lion Dance Association and the Shanghai Dragon & Lion Dance Association. Athletes from Across Canada Team Canada 2017 was made up of athletes from more than 5 schools and various provinces, all working together across multiple divisions for Canada to succeed at this truly World event. The Competition The Canadian team won the gold medal among non-Asian teams during the dragon race standard and race contests.
