Considered the most exciting of the Lion Dancing competition events, the High Poles requires expert athletes, confidence and hours of preparation.
First Time in Canada
For the first time Canada was able to host and compete in a high poles event, bringing in teams from across Asia and North America.
With a full crowd on hand in Winnipeg, all the teams and athletes gathered to perform for the spectators and the professional judges.
A step ahead for Canada
As Dragon and Lion Sports continue to grow internationally Canada is working to lead the way in the West. By introducing such high level contests early on Dragon Lion Cultural Sports Association of Canada we move the sport ahead in Canada and abroad.
